I have been having this problem a lot with my D10. I will change my outside shots from 100 iso to 200 iso and my inside from 400 iso to 800 iso. They all seem to come out to dark (even darker witha UV filter) or washed out. Any pointers on a setting I can change on my camera.
Thanks everyone for all the help.
James

It's a bit over-exposed James. You can't bring the white point up any higher without blowing out the shoulder.

Who's this pretty girl? She's lovely... nice shot although i think its a little dark. You might want to brighten it up a little to give more depth on her. :)

ps. oh Shelly did it already... nice one, Shelly! like it.

There are only 2 things that I would do different here. Bring more light in. Use Flash Fill or reflector. You did the right thing by placing the sun to her back but her body is casting a shadow over its self. Last the arm, if you can see the whole thing then the pose is not working. Next time have her fold her arms over the chest and lean. Still I say well done.
