Thank you all. Roby - there was definitely a beauty to this statue to me, something very lovely and at the same time sorrowful.

Great thinking of space on right (opposite side of the facing statue), wonderful fog and good composition.

I'm glad others saw the parallels, even the front branch made me think of the angel's arm extended dropping her petals. Also, not sure how clear this is in the picture, but there is a moss hanging from the tree's branches and also some type growing on the statue from age.
Mark B.- I felt kinda weird taking photos there like that was a bad thing to do or something. I just stuck to the statues and a couple gated areas instead of tombstones. Also got spooked once - lol. It was very foggy and early in the morning, very quite and I thought I was the only person (well alive that is :) out there. All the sudden I hear this rustling behind me and I jumped - it was just a jogger, but the last thing I expected to see in a cemetery so early. I can definitely see you getting some ghoulish images with the toy camera in a cemetery. The way the sides fade and distort would really add some mystery to the photo.

Very suggestive shot, Andrea the angel and the trees in the mist adds something supernatural and magic to the scene. Congratulations!

this is another fine fog /cemetery shot. I love the mood created and I agree the tree sort of has the same shape as the statue

I want to photograph in a cemetary so bad, but I'm not sure they'd let me. This is excellent..i can see the same pose in the tree.

Thanks!
Ya know, I just assumed the statue came first ;) I'm glad you saw what I was seeing.
The cemetery is about 130 years old. There were several stones for the fall of 1878, when Yellow Fever hit the Memphis area. There are also several Confederate soldiers buried there.

Very interesting photo; you have an excellent eye - but maybe the title should be art imitating life? I'm willing to bet the tree was there first.
