About After getting some inspiration from a friend on usefilm, I got brave and jumped into the "liquid" feature of PS. This could be addictive as it was so much fun to take a photo with a few "flaws" and do something with it. What do you think?

I don't remember seeing this one before it's great. I love the way you used this effect. It might be a stronger piece if you cropped away most of the green and just focused on the flower. Very sexy.

Thanks Eric - learning how to play with PS.

Very nice effect, I like what you've done, I thought it was just a funky flower from the thumbnail, then thought you did it in a water reflection. Guess I should read earlier huh, very nice.

Subhash - Thanks for the tip - am saving all these important "know-hows" for when I get a camera to which I can apply the tips. This little Sony Cybershot doesn't have a filter, and I don't want to do that on the only lens. Regards, Jan

Yes it looks great but as you said it is addictive & could lose originality, try the same calla with vaseline on your filter for similar dreamy effects, love,Subhash.

Evelyn - thank you - this new fun thing to do is all your "fault" (am I easily led or what?) Your liquid gold rose is beautiful (not to mention some of the others in your portfolio). I am trying something new every day - but boy so much to learn.

In addition to the PS User's Guide, there are a number of books out there that are really helpful in learning how to use the program. I am just learning, and there is a lot to learn about in this program - it does all sorts of neat things.

Looks like fun, Janice. I have just recently installed PS and do not know how to use it yet. I must try this. It looks neat.

Michael - I am not sure I am attaching correctly, as I have never done it before. Thanks for the compliment - it really is a lot of fun and I have only used one technique in liquify. Haven't a clue yet as to what the others do.

What fun! Show us the orignal so we can see the work that went into this and so we can see how to salvage a flawed capture. Take care --Mike

It really IS FUN! You did an excellent job and chose a very suitable subject for it! I really like the electric quality of some of the leaves and background colors and the strong shapes of the calas; while accentuating their undulations works beautifully to create a fanciful but solid artistic creation. Well done! Thanks for posting this!!!
