About That's the trouble with these 500mm lenses with 15x converters ~ you can't see for looking!!

Here's Den Thompson and Margaret Sturgess in action at yesterday's U.K. Usefilm meet. Den goes for the long stuff while Margaret gets up close and personal!

What a great day! Thank you both for giving us all such a great time!!

Forgive my little jest!! :o)

Best regards to all,

Chris

Splendid capture of these two doing what they love Chris.

Since I purchased my D70, and now have added a SB 600 flash, I have been picking Den's brain when I have a rough spot to smooth out. Den mentioned that you do a lot of D70 work and possibly a wedding or two.

Recent wedding I took, was using my Sigma D 28-90 mm lens. Many of the shots I took were fine. But also there were maybe 30 that were too blurred to be useable. Three of them were the bride and groom coming back the aisle after cermony, were blurred beyond any help. My confidence level has dropped from this experience.

I am retired from doing 40 years of candid weddings, and have never had AF problems like this.

Would you have any ideas please??

Thamnks very much!

Larry

Nice work chris - can tellthis one's had a bit of doctoring - that lens can't be THAT big!!

there's a nice curve in the composition from Margaret's camera, head, through dens lens up to his eyes.

I think the bird was in on this - posed just right for the shot

Great to see these two in action Chris!
Funny idea to put the bird on the lens, it is like he says: "He, I am right here under your nose!".
greetings,
Diana.

You just had to pick one that showed up my hair colour didn't you Chris. I remember the day when mine was that colour. I now know why the lense suddenly got heavy. Great PS work.
Thanks to you and Henry for travelling such along way to attend. It was great to meet up with you both.
