About This is a shot of the new "gang" that now hangs out in our yard. Tried for maximum depth of field in this shot. Really had to get some different plants - one can only look at so many lantana, hibiscus, etc. etc. shots!

Me too, Mary - I do enjoy all sorts of colors - and this was something a little different from my usual close up shot of a flower. Jan

Gilberto - thank you so much for your comments. If I do say so myself, I think I have improved the quality of my photos since I started using and then became a member of usefilm. All sorts of inspiration on this site, and all sorts of friendly people willing to help. Jan

Not really - hot and dry here in AZ - have alot of lantana (about 16 bushes), bougainvillea (4), citrus trees (4), palm trees (2), rosemary (1), hybiscus (1), natal plum (1), asparagus fern (3)oleander (2), crepe myrtle (2), Lady Banks Roses (2), Texas Sage (5) a large area with some sort of ground cover (green with tiny white flowers in the spring) and a jasmine (1). Two of our flower beds had empty areas so the plants in the picture are helping to fill them out a little. Still have a large block planter wishing well that has nothing in it and a number of pots that still need flowers. Now Peter Daniels has got a really lush yard with all sorts of roses and other flowering plants.

Thanks Len - I am a rank beginner in photography and PS is like a murder mystery - takes me forever to find out "who done it" or in this case "how to do it." Everyone has been very helpful. My son Rob walked me through on how to do this type frame via a long distance call (his dime). Didn't want him to waste his $ so got this simple one figured out okay!

Lovely photograph, Janice. The frame really rounds it off.

Thanks Margaret - now if I can just keep these babies alive. Water, water, water - that's my new mantra. PS - Still working on trying to do some nice framing. I'll get there! (In between quilting.) Hey - Den's shots at least the ones he posted are really good - especially "Gawd, That's Tough" - but so far the two you posted yesterday are the best. The one of the closeup of the tiger's eye - unreal.
