Art comes in many forms Angela, and some of the most powerful photographs are those that show the wonderful range of human emotions. Do a search in usefilm on the people-related projects or categories and you will see what I mean. The number of awesome photographers that take people related photos is large. You might want to rethink about contributing.

Thanks Kristin - I was surprised at the appeal this had for other users. I knew I liked it, but...it was fun to try and do something with the background to make the photo more acceptable to me. You have some really nice people shots in your portfolio, but I enjoy landscapes and do like your "Barrington Beauty" shot. Jan

Jan I love this!! I didn't even notice the smudging until I read the about. The way the petals are bent and the composition really draws the eye to the foreground. Love the colors, excellent shot!!

Thank you Peta - wanted to keep it soft in keeping with the soft colors in the shot. Also wanted a little movement to offset the angles of the majority of the petals and to compliment the curves of some of the petals. Appreciate your comments. Jan

Thanks Peta - this was one of the shots where the background was ugly but I really liked the flowers - so...tried to keep the blur soft and subtle in keeping with the colors. Jan
