Looks like a 'cool' obsession to have... ;-D!!! Great colors, nice 'simple' view/composition, like the slanted trees... well done!! BTW Love to have such an obsession, but that's a bit hard here in the Netherlands... kind of flat you know.... ;-D!!!

That feels so beautifully solitary. The clouds almost feel like spray against a rock. Tree's feel out of place but in a cool way.

i dont know in transit, im a little partial to the semi crooked ones, after going back and looking at the 100 images i have in this series most of them are slanted these which lyed around the end of the shots when i had been walking around for aprox 45 min, which tells me that i wasnt just snapping away and the background, the peak to the left goes uphill to the right in real life and not downhill to the right so the trees have to be a little windswept.. it would make sence to me cause they are the only trees for probably about a mile in the valley lying right smack dab in the middle of the continental devide which see's some hellasious winds... but i could be wrong

ps, thanks so much for viewing and your comments

The tones and the mass are wonderful
But with respect... I do realise that you had collapsed upon your back-pac... and reached for your cam... clicked...
but It appears to be somewhat slanted...
one also realises that trees slope from winds... but they do not appear to have suffered from such an affliction...

thank you for your comment toni, i really didnt realize that the trees being crooked would have an effect on the image, and honestly didnt really pay to much attention to it... my hands were very cold by this point in the shooting process and i was just snapping away around this point, struggling to get back to my bag where my gloves were... metal camera, 15 degree weather and wind dont mix, he he he, but yeah i positioned the trees at an angle slightly for a greater wide angle effect, it kind of opens the picture up i think, gives the impression of a massive space
