Very beautiful vertical seascape, nice diagonal leading lines composition. I can only guess that sky and bird are composites, perfect PS work as always ;-)

Perfectly placed bird (whether placed by its maker or its photographer) and unusually sombre palette make this an impressive picture. I have always thought that particular coastline is rather forbidding at the best of times, and you've captured the mood very well. I'm off this Sunday afternoon to a tiny church for the joint committee of the four Anglican churches in this area west of Tokyo. It's called St. Kenneth's (my eldest boy still at home is called Kenneth).

What perfect timing Chris. The bird is in the perfect spot is this already great composition, and it directs your eye down towards the green trough between the rocks,which then proceed upward and along the shore and finally to the dramatic sky. Very dynamic image.
