It's a poppy head, right? Excellent vision to choose this angle. Very nice details on the head and good use of the out of focus stem as a line in the background.
The light is beautiful and ideal for this kind of photography.

Ah Lori, that is a poppy out of flower, so you see the "seedhouse".. then when it dries out, the roof blows off and the seeds are released ;-)

That looks so good it makes me want to eat it! Wonderful DOF on this Peter... it really helps give depth to the image. I also like the assymetrical composition - it would have been easy to shoot this symmetrically and then it would have lost a lot of impact. Superb. Now please pass the napkins..... ;-)
