About	This is Aunty Joan in her home in Kiribathgoda. I remember her as a strong woman with lots of love and kindness. Her house is always welcome to her relatives and we visit her everytime we go to Sri Lanka. She looks after her grandchildren while her children are at work during the day. The TV screen's reflection probably spoilt this photo. Yet her character in this photo stands out i think.

Denzil,

Yes, I think there is something of Auntie Joan's personality that comes across quite strongly in this photograph. She appears here as a very gentle woman, and with a great interest in people she meets.
Nice daylight streaming in - lends a feel of people streaming in and out.
It is a very welcoming environment that she has built.
I'll pop by for a cup of tea next time I'm in town!!!

Love the stage gear too!
