About Didn't really know where to start with the stack of shots from the UFf meet up in Newcastle, so here's one from the shores of Seahouses looking over to the fabulous Bamburgh Castle.

We'd been to Bamburgh earlier and got a shed loads of shots here, but I liked the layerd effect of the foreground rocks and the light effects on the castle.

Huge thanks to Keith Sainy and Mark Evans for guiding us around the area and for being the perfect hosts for one of these weekends... and providing lots of entertainment of course!!

Great to meet fellow UFers Bob and Danny too, sure we'll meet again some sunny day!

Aplolgies in advance for the plethora of coastal shots that'll be coming your way over the next few weeks :-)

Cheers Danny,

I only managed a couple of "proper" shots from that bit of Seahouses - mostly silly ones of markey and steve!

It's a cracking coastline though, last time I was at the coast it was Robin Hood's bay and I'd not a clue how to use the camera so this was the first real experiment - think I'm hooked now :-)

Shame Leeds is an hour from either coast :-(

Great to meet up and I hope you can make it to some of the other ones we'll have over the next year. Alastair was on about one over in Lancashire, my home county, plenty there if I remember rightly :-)

may give that chippy as miss next time....

Cheers

Cheers Den,

not the easiest shot to concentrate on when there was so much going on around me :-) Marie doing my portrait, markey hiding in a hole, bob filming me etc. etc. but wouldn't have changed it for the world!

there's a baltic mills shot in the comments of this photo too now - quite like that one :-)

lok forward to seeing what you've got with the bigma - a completely different set to my wide stuff I bet :-)

Cheers

Cheers Keith, got so many shots of watery things it's unreal!!

Thing is, I've never done any coastal stuff since I learned how to to use the camera properly so it was a real adventure - I kept buggering off and losing everyone today as well!!! Got wet feet - the tide was comin in not out!

When I get a spare weekend I was thinking of coming up for a night on the lash if you guys are around. probably get to October now cause I've got loads on (cyprus + 2 weddings....) but a bit of clicking and supping would be good. And I forgot to give your 70-200 a go too. Need a decent longer lens - the AF on that antique of mine is dreadful.

Here's one from the keyside after several pints last night!!

Ade a cracking shot and well thought out.The layering of the landscape is very interesting and the whole scene is perfectly exposed. That's what happens when you keep your finger on that little star button.A memorable shot fom a memorable day.

Danny.

Ade Loe the layers of rocks an interesting composition - I am still downloading all mine. Hit a few bits of heavy traffic on the way back but quite a good journey. Fabulous weekend wasn't it

You sure know how to compose a shot Ade. Superb image. Just having a quick decco at my stack of shots. As you say, where do you start.
