on the plane?s entertainment menu on the way over the pond I was treated to a fine documentary depicting two trainee Japanese Geishas in Kioto and several very candid interviews with the elderly Japanese fellows who patronize them and who seem to get ?energized? by the young woman (who are both fine, natural psychologists)! Anyway, it made for some riveting viewing! I thought of you of course, my only friend in Japan, and I expect you would certainly appreciate the film?s eccentric perspective as it reflects the rather eccentric society I know you know so well ? the film?s directed by Joanna Bailey and is titled ?Geisha? .
?Fuchuu Sidestreet? is a fine street scene.
? and thank you for the warm welcome

Chris, I straighten'em whenever my "well-trained" eye lets me down. But often I will find I am straightening by 0.5 degrees, so I am pretty sensitive to tilts. And I'm a compulsive picture straightener! Incidentally, of the two "busy" street scenes I uploaded together, this one seems to have much more human interest but the other is attracting more comments. Puzzling...

A busy but bright and crisp shot, Roger. Do you straighten your pictures, or have you just got a well-trained eye? They're always bang on! Best regards, Chris
