Thanks a lot for the comments. The light was really bad that day , didn't use the flash purposely as i thought it will make the monk look out of the place.

I like the format and (mostly) nondistracting background. It might be better with a closer crop off the top, as that darker midline branch draws the eye away. Fill flash might have brought out his facial expression a little, and it may have allowed for you to darken the background a little more.
