About after the sun is up, most of tourists left the crater area and temple, left only smoke and dust. and so the horse riders went back home, continue their life as farmers.

some said that this picture is not sharp or out of focus, maybe it is :)
I tried already to apply USM, and it does look sharper, but it felt different . So I kept as it is.
comment/suggestion are welcome

I thought the lack of sharpness was due to the dusty atmosphere. I think you are right. It's much more important to make it feel right than to make it technically perfect.

I agree with you, Antonia, et al re the focus, Cessy...I think it is an integral part of the image's atmosphere. One thing that struck me was I kept seeing it as either a b&w or quadtone. It was such a persistent feeling, I gave in and converted it in PS...what do you think?

I think the 'lack of focus' is simply a result of the haze, Cessy.
And the hazy feel adds to the drama of the shot, IMO!
Great work!
Best regards, Chris

Agree with you about the focus. The soft focus adds to the mood here. It would not be the same. I did notice it before reading your about, and reached the conclusion before learning of your own opinion on the subject. This is a matter of taste. Personally, I am not a fan of blurry images..lol, but there are some that appeal to me and this is one. The space in it is awesome, and the diminutive figures on horseback are silohuetted and readable as they are. Since their detail isn't important to understand this image, the soft focus helps meld them with the mist and makes that read very well. The horizontal line may be just what it was, but that is something I'd right, just because it draws my attention -- only a smidge off, but I notice it. This is a fabulous image and I can see it framed and hung prominently Cessy. Antonia

I found it great, and the surrounding looks like of a mirage scene, the low (clouds!) enhances the composition, superb work. Saeed

thank you Cetin
I guess you are right, it almost monochrome (eventhough it is not), but the yellowish part on the right maybe a little bit distracting.

thanks,
cessy
