About This was taken during our drive back to the Phoenix area from our trip to Las Vegas. Taken by the passenger (me) shooting through the front window as we drove past at about 65 pmh. ISO 400, F9, 55 mm lens @ 1/1000 shutter speed. Camera settings were on Auto Action Mode. Not too bad for aa "faster than a speeding bullet" shot. Great camera.

Great action shot Jan. Hard to believe you were moving. I'd like to get a shot this good standing stone still! The sky is beautiful. Very well done!

Thanks Lisa - Wish I could claim that it my great skills that allowed me to capture this, but, as I mentioned to someone else - this was a happy accident. Good thing hubby Sam did not hit one of those potholes in this road at the same time as I pressed the shutter! But then again, that might have made for an interesting shot in the Blurry Image Project! Jan

Thanks Sam - at least we had good light when we past this point. Sun was barely coming up for you and Kim.

Ellen - Thanks, this was a lucky accident - one of those how do you know until you try kind of things. Jan

Hey Rob - not too bad for a "fly by" huh? I, too, liked the angles - and at least had enough sense to set it on the auto action mode! Figured if that setting could freeze frame things that were moving - it might be able to freeze frame a stationary object when the camera was moving. Didn't really have anything to loose - but do believe that I got lucky with this one. LOL Mom

Hard to believe you took this image while driving by at 65 mph. Like Ellen said, my images too are sometimes blurred while standing still. Very nice hillside photo. I love the clouds and how the landscape is dotted with the cactus trees. Very SHARP focus. Well done Janice.

Great Shot Mom, you have all the angles covered in this shot. Way to capture this one!

This is better then mine standing dead still. The diagonal composition is very interesting and is just right IMO.

Very great stop action shot! Looks very good! :) Love the diagonal lines in this shot, offset by the Saguaro vertical lines and the clouds on the horizontal plane...nice!
