About The building standing on the end of the spit of land on the western coast of the little Scilly Island of St Agnes is a shipping aid. The idea is to line up the peak of the building with the steeple of the church about half a mile inland. I was taken with the shape of this building out on the end of Britain and the position of the rusting oil drum washed up from the sea and of the two groups of rock that seem to act as a gateway to the rocky headland. The dawn light was wonderful on this morning although I was plagued by condensation. I had to wipe down the filters between every shot and even then there is noticeable bloom in the highlights of this shot. I used a polariser accentuate the colours and deepen the shadows and an 81B warm-up filter to counter the blue cast of Velvia in lowish light.

Full of colours even in the early hours.

I'm amazed how with this low angle view, I can spot the coast (or island) at horizon.

Congrats. fabio
