About I like this one, because of the wierd formations in the rock. It makes you wonder what it looked like a million years ago.

Called one of the great wonders of the natural world, Bryce's Canyon. I'm surprized more people don't post from their hikes and tours of these ampitheaters.

There's a history, by the way, at http://www.cr.nps.gov/history/online_books/brca/hrst.htm

Pat,
I recommend that you try a Lightchase Photography tour. Mark will show you how to use GND filters and capture the natural sunset and sunrise light. http://www.geocities.com/lightchasephotography/WelcomePage.html
check it out.

Good work Nicole. In places of such dramtic landscape and beauty it is difficult to capture it with the same sense of scale and awe as it impresses upon you when you stand before it. This place looks very similar to the Badlands national park where I have only photographed once but plan to keep going back until I understand who the light works and I leatn to do it right. My first trip I shot over 400 frames and posted 8 or 10. When you stand there everything looks to be worth of an exposure. I will be more fussy the next time.

Howdy Nicole! To capture the full range of the subtle hues of Bryce Canyon in a single image is a tough challenge. You have fared more than very well in the attempt. The subtlety of the blues, purples, oranges, pinks, and reds is fascinating. This image just grows on the viewer, the more one looks and wonders at not only the formations but also the colors.
