Joe-I always start with a gradient map. I may use several layers of gradients-adjusting to soft light or overlay. I also use the hue/saturation tool set to color and adjust it's opacity to give the image a little warmth. I also do the ole fashion dodgin and burning. Oh, and I always fancy a nice fill layer set to 50 grey fill at 70%-then set that layer to overlay or soft light depending on your taste.
