Black fur is truly a challenge to capture, but you've done a fine job here. Also worthy of kudos is the catchlight. The glare off the nose is a tiny touch too eyecatching, but hey, that's natural light for ya! Especially with a dog would wants nothing to do with photography and everything to do with playing.

When I saw this one as athumbnail I had to look very carefully to see something. Well done, almost pitchblack and still essential detail, the twinkle in the darkest eye finishes it off.
