Superb hues, and incredible sharpness. It makes the picture, together with a perfect light catch. Excellent DOF and a smooth background, given the probable f5.6 largest aperture of this lens.

A beautifully sharp back lit cactus! I also like the way it is seperated nicely from the background. I have to side with Kathy on the frame though - it's a bit distracting.

Hi DOn excellent really sharp in both senses, wonderful detail. I would agree with Kathy in so far as I like the idea of the frame, but perhaps a little heavy right next the the background. How about as well as swapping the two round, either a pale green or gold to pick up the colour of the sun shining on the needles. You are like me, love experimenting with frames, and not always sure if I am going too far. Margaret

Very nice capture! The border is to elaborate and bulky. Regards Harry

It looks more like a window than a border Don. It's wonderful. As for the iamge. Another winner there with such a crisp and sharp subject and the background beautifully blurred. I enjoy the splashes of colour in the flowers and incorporated into the frame. Very creative. Wonderful image and a pleasure to view. Cheers - Ann :)

Amazing clarity of the cactus, and great dof! Very nice shot! As far as the border goes, it might be a bit much for this one. How about if you switched the white and the frame, so that the busyness didn't detract from the shot? Just a thought. Nice shot anyway! Kathy

Yes Riccardo it is a very good camera. Also the lens makes a great deal of difference. The 18-70 lens that comes with it is very sharp. Thanks for the comment. Don.
