I like the sharp appearance and colors. The sky color is fantastic and makes the shot better.

B & W adds a "gothic" look to the lily (if you know what I mean). Nice detail and DOF.

Great timing. Many elements are well done....colorful reflection on the pier...silhouette of light poles and the circular pattern of clouds and sun.

Robert - Great eye to catch the perspective on this one. I like the sharpnees of the drops and depth of field. Nature is beautiful.

Robert - Many thanks. It is nice to hear from a fellow Texan! You're right...many Texas Courthouses are just great to photograph. Ever seen Hill County's Courthouse?

Alicia - Fantastic lighting. What is neat about this one is that it is low light, yet vibrant. Great work.

Nice shot Dave. I see you guys are in "browsing" weather. It is still in the 80's here. This shot makes me think of the quiet peace of being in the woods...especially in the winter. Good job.

Ian - The photo has many elements upon which I can comment. The expression of the players clearly illustrate the determination, apparent heat and exhaustion. Sharpness and colors are nice. Keep up the good work. Sports is a blast to photograph!

Thanks. I had forgotten about this one and came upon it when looking through the shots from this past football season. I plan to post another one tonight.

Joe - Great sharp details of the feathers. The diverse colors on this bird make him really pretty up-close.

Joe - Even better capture than the first one. Boy...he's got a huge whitetail!! Just a beautiful shot of the deer. The background DOF is nice and it is easy to see why these fellows (and does / fawns)blend into their surroundings.

Ian - I appreciate the comments. Concerning the crop, This one was cropped slightly to get the bodies of both players in the shot (I was trying to show body positions). I usually only do close crops when the original is relative close (like when I shoot football with the 400mm). Many thanks.

Yes, he caught it. I read your portfolio and found it interesting that you are a civil engineer. My profession also. Best wishes.

One more question Joe....When shooting in a cold environment such as this one, do you leave your equipment in your car or in a cold place the night before going out to minimize fogging and condensation?

Alberto - Beautiful setting accurately captured. This is a photo that is a "work of art"! I suggest printing this out at 16" X 20" and framing in the wall. Fantastic.

Absolutely beautiful. The only thing that would have been nice is a faster shutter. I assume that you shot it as fast as the light and ISO would permit. Really nice and fantastic work. Awesome portfolio.

Eb - A really original shot. Was any of the coloring photoshopped? If not...how did you get the unusual colors and lighting?

Eb - You were obviously on a photo "hunt" to find this one. Really nice but simple shot. Can you see yourself in the top droplet? It looks like there is a reflection in it.
