Eb - Pretty setting and interesting historical account. The way things are in the US, they may be glad they are in Canada!

Eb - A really crisp colorful shot. Nicely done. The snow in the background and red in the foreground shows that spring is near.

Ray - Fantastic colors and textures. I never thought downtown Lufkin was really that nostalgic looking....until this photo. Very nicely seen.

Ray - The "raggety" borders give the photo a sad composition. Nicely done.

Ray - I forgot to mention - I also had the the TC-17 attached to the 200mm.

Beautiful capture. I never knew Turkey was this lush. Really nice.

Clive - Howdy from Texas. My wife grew orchids a few years ago and we were amazed how long the flowers lasted. Nice colors and composition.

Clive - Many thanks for your input. Prior to posting I tried changing brightness and contrast, but I simply like the look. You are right though.

Eb - I borrowed the 1.4 from a friend of mine. Someday I hope to get one. By the way - Nikon re-calibrated the 200mm f/2 and it is shaper than ever.

Eb - Really beautiful setting captured here. I like your capture of the fog "nestled" in the hillside and the un-leaved tree branches with a sky as the backgound. Nice level of detail and sharpness.

Eb - Nice combination of colors and shutter speed ( the moving water in the foreground is smooth). I like the subdued color of the sky and the almost monochrome appearance of everything else.

Eb - Really nice shot. What were you using for metering on this one? Also - even though it would have taken out the reflections, would a polarizer have been an option here?

Nice group shot. Colors are vivid, no red eyes, and nice details. Keep up the good work.

Eb - A really lush landscape. It appears you live in a place similar to ours (humidities > 60% most of the time). I wish I understood PS better to develop shots such as this. Nice job.

Eb - I would term this under the abstract category also. Nice composition. Makes me think of cornbread!

Eb - Nice variation of colors. I bet this would also look neat by setting up barely above the tallest plant and shooting across the tops (@ different apertures).

Eb - Fantastic details. I am in the process of "maybe" selling my Sigma 80mm-400mm. Shots like this one make me what to go with the Nikon.

Eb - Original capture. This subject would be highly variable with camera settings. Nice set-up.
