Thanks Mark, I appreciate your critique very much. I wrestled with this already, and did play with the contrast (maybe its my computer)but find with higher contrast you alter the depth between objects due to the loss of detail. I do like your blacker blacks though. How do I achieve this while preserving detail?

I love the ww2 planes, some forty variations of the spitfire were produced, I believe this was the last with a pressurized cabin to boot. 408mph. great pic!

John, I took many of this classic that day as well as many other historic ww2 aircraft.I will post those later. I took the shots at flying cloud (kfcm) at the annual airshow. attached is one more.
