The hat is too light and the rest is too dark. I like the pose and the clarity seems to be there. I just can't see it very well.

Did you get some people mad at you? I looked at your past work and there are so many beautiful protraits that are rated very poor.

It just makes me wonder when I see 2 people rate this beautiful picture so low without leaving any comments.

Toni,
I didn't like the yellow border either. I actually re-did the border before I read your comment about getting rid of it, so the timing was perfect.

Glad you like this one better. I took the pictures last night with both black and white backgrounds to see which one would come out better.

Don:
To get the green border to stop at the stem: I put the green border all the way around. Then did a copy and paste of the area just above the border over the top of the green.

Sarah, I took these in my garage and put a black cloth behind it.
Kim: I agree with you and have since removed the stem. Looks better, thanks.

Thanks Megan, I think I finally got the lighting right.

Nice picture. I agree with Anindya, I would like to see more of the reflection. And maybe a little less of the sky. Wonderful mood picture.

Hi Scott.
I bought the lens from B & H Photo on the web. Seems to be the best rated photo shop on the web. I paid $579 for the F/4.0L lens. The F/2.8L lens sells for $1129. Thats $550 more. These are the USA lenses, not the imported models.

I agree with you Lisa. But you forgot to mention that the photo lacks contrast. It's so flat.

Thank you all for your comments. I was actually surprised how well it came out considering it was in direct sun light. It's so easy for the white on the belly to be overexposed.

Actually when I see Audry again tomorrow I plan on asking him if I could take his picture again, but this time under the shade of a nearby tree. I knew when I posted it that I would get comments on the bright sun. I still liked it though and wanted to post it. Maybe tomorrow I will have new ones of him.
Thanks for all comments, they are all welcome, good or bad.

Thank you for all your comments. The man in the picture, Audry was a very nice guy. I asked him if I could take his picture and he posed a few different ways for me. He seems to be a very intelligent man. He aksed me to bring him a print tomorrow.

I think the body of the zebra gets in the way of the picture. Might be better with a side shot of the head looking towards you.

The trees are so sharp and the colors are wonderful. The only thing I see wrong is the sun shining in the front. You might even try cropping it out to see what you get.

I like the reflections. The light silouettes of the trees in the background really add to the picture. Nice job.

I think some of the bottom could be cropped and maybe a little bit on top. Just a little to dark. I love the composition, I really think you have something here.

Sorry but the ground level is full of cars and does not look good at all. Myself I like it just the way it is. But of course that's my opinion.
