I'm not really sure if that was a terrible "dig" to my photography, but it sure came off that way. I merely changed my photo to black and white. Enough said.It was not altered to look like a "film" shot. The lighting was so beautiful and soft on my neices' face that I thought it would look great in Black and White. Thanks anyways for viewing it...Darren

Unbelievable! I can't believe how old friends find me through my photos! Yes, my wife and I visit Andes about once a year in the fall, because Florida just isn't the same beauty as New York in Autumn! Drop me an e-mail!

Thank you very much for your critique Howie! Just out of curiosity sake, which shadows would you try to eliminate, or rather add some light to? To explain my setting, it was a large open room with late afternoon lighting coming in through the tall window from the left side. The black line at the top right was a large mirror behind them. Any other thoughts you,or anyone else could give would be greatly appreciated. This actually was the look I was going for, but pros sometimes catch things that I do not,as of yet.
Thanks again!

I have some really bad news for you Sheila! I CANNOT critique this photo! The absolutely perfect expression on her face; the way the wind is pulling her hair from right to left across the photo. The composition is perfect!!Who needs catch light when you have a winning photo as you do here? She is gorgeous, and so is your work. Print it, frame it, and hang it on your wall! Stunning job! congrats

I am so jealous Doyle! Your beaches in Cali are so much more diverse and interesting than ours here in Florida! We are totally surrounded by sand! Wonderful job here. I love the rocks in the foreground, as well as the different shades of the water captured. Excellent my friend.

How adorable Cetin. I love their expressions. On the technical side, I would have shifted the camera a bit to the right to eliminate the adult hand on the left, and also to get more of the little boy into the photo! Very cute children. Congrats. Darren

Excellent shot you have captured here Dorival. The colors are vibrant, and the composition is fabulous. The scar on his chest tells a story of it's own!! The faint writing across his chest is a bit distracting, but overall, the shot is wonderful. Congrats. Darren

A very simple composition, yet seductive pose Roberto. I really like the subtle tattoo on her right foot. It really adds a bit of mistique to this photo.I really like your portfolio as well.
congrats.

Awesome and vibrant colors here Judi! Her outfit is so cute, and the ribbon in her hair just sets this photo off! I like how you have her looking off camera. This is a very nice angle with superb composition. Great job.

Very cool shot Yuri. The other flamingos in the background made for a fabulous backdrop! It sets the mood for the whole photo. Very crisp and sharp detail on the bird itself, and great choice for a shallow dof. Great job on the composition as well. congrats.

Haha Sara. She does indeed loathe her "crows feet". For some reason, I decided I did not want to take them out, simply because I call those her "laugh lines". She only has them when she smiles or laughs, and I love to see them. I agree that for some it is a sign of age, but I think it is a thing of beauty.Thank you so much for your fabulous eye of critique Sara. It shows that you really look closely at my photos! :]

I made a mistake. I meant that I darkened the lower right, not left. Sorry for the typo.

Hi Dina! Thanks for your interest. The light was indeed up high and to the left, which is where I had her look; but yes, you are correct in that I went ahead and darkened the lower left of the photo a bit more in P.S. just to add to the contrast. I liked the original color version, but this one looked so much more dramatic, that I had to post it instead.
Thanks again friend! :]

Great job Barry, as usual! The overall sharpness and tone of the scene are spectacular! Congrats on Bluebell Dawn by the way. It was well deserved! (I nominated that one for P.O.D. a long time ago. I think it deserves whatever awards you recieve!) congrats!

Oh wow! I do not at all mean to make light of this fabulous creation, but have you ever seen Monty Python and the Holy Grail? This looks like one of their cartoon skits that they create in the movie! I saw this thumbnail and was immediately tickled! I hope I didn't offend you, but I just can't wait to show my friends this one!! Ecellent! 7+

Wow John. This photo is actually a bit scary. The arm looks as if it is beginning some sort of transformation into a werewolf! Not to say that the arm is abnormally hairy, haha, but the lighting itself emotes this kind of feel. I think this is some awesome work, whether you meant it to feel spine tingleing or not. congrats!
