Hi Sarah, not so much on the technical side i want to say about this photo, i know you are new to photography, I will try to see what inspired you to take this image. First i think its the colors of the apple I see the yellow blending well with the red. The shape itself is interesting and you have emphasize the top part where there is a curve and the stem.. its simple but theres a good graphic here. I see an improvement with composition... keep on shooting Sarah and keep on looking at photos and see what attract you..

looks like a painting! if you don't mind i should say that there is a problem in the border between the apple and the black background. it's not soft!

Hi Sarah, you've renderred this image like a painting with visible brush strokes.. Its a square image and the center composition is not bad in this case. The complimentary color of yellow and purple makes this floral image pleasnt to look at.

Hi Sarah, looking at your photo here for quite a while and trying to see what caught your attention in this image. I am not sure what treatment you did to this photo and what is the reason for it. With this composition, the focal point would be the black rectangle in the center but what is the point... Maybe that is 'just a way' for you but there must be some other way.. : )
I find it hard to decipher this abstract, I wish I could see more of your intentions next time..

the extra space at the right attracts attention, maybe cropping will do...
this could be a good abstract subject with a little more sharpness and tighter composition...

colorful still life, I see the highlights and the shadows but can't really make comment about the photography because of the paint like effect. really like a painting...
