Actually the original picture has a good quality in my opinion, but was too heavy to post it. I converted it through Photopaint, that's why, I guess, the quality is quit poor now.
I will surf right now in your compositions!

very good composition with wonderful details and contrast.
Although you wrote a brief history of that pyramid, but I believe that UFO people (http://www.usefilm.com/Image.asp?ID=1066027)made these magnificent structure for special purpose.

Very good composition. It is unfortunate that the quality of the scanning is not very good so you miss a lot in details. Better quality would reveal interesting features and patterns in your photo.
