Gee, I wonder if Doyle is biased?
He's right though - this is an excellent image, beautiful indeed.

Thank you Paul for the comment. This waterfall is so tall that standing across the room it would not fit in one picture. The hotel lobby is higher than most and the 2nd floor of the building is the casino. The waterfall is taller than the casino floor. I will try to post more of the waterfall later to see if I can give some perspective.

cool shot, but I think one step backward would have allowed you to place the lower edges in each corner of the shot.

Thank you Jan. I find it easier to decorate the dogs than than house. Haven't tried decorating the cats for sometime now.....December 1st comes around and the cats become scarce...not really, they are all 4 sleeping under the tree.

Thanks Jan. Kaylee does have a "small" a reputation for chewing. Took them shopping the other day as we have since we brought her home. For the first time she decided to eat in the car---Doyle's prescription sunglasses. No more shopping with her for awhile. I too think the picture hysterical, still laugh everytime I look at it.

Thank you Annemette for the comment, and especially for the thoughts of my son. He is still overseas. Several of the family mailed out care packages for him and his buddies, hoping he has at least some by Christmas. Christmas day will be happy here with times of me getting tears--hard to be so happy and then think of him away from home and family....Hope he has at least some cheer on Christmas and knows that he is loved and that I am proud of him. I will get off my soap box now. Thanks again Annemette.

Doyle, I think even under the porch here cost more than you are willing to pay. I personally would like to stay for short periods of time, but on a permanent residence, the neighbors are too close for me.

Uhhhhhh . . . well Maybe . . . but in my defense . . . when I realized it was quiet . . . I pulled over and at great risk to my personal safety . . . I returned to pick her up . . . and I didn't even take that long to make the decision to go back either . . . not really! Besides it was a lovely mountain road in an area of unspoiled beauty. I should point out that I still 'Hear' about it from time to time a decade later......

What a wonderful place to be. I do envy your varied nature in the US that enables you to go on so many special hikes and go camping in nature that seems almost unspoiled and endless . Is your son home for the Christmas? When being in the airport in Atlanta I saw really many soldiers, boys almost, and I thought of your son. Take care Annemette
