Absolutely amazing. Did you have to do much dodging and burning for this? it seems like it. Masterfully done.
Cheers,
Marc

I like the tones here a lot, although perhaps a tad dark. Is it just me or is it a little soft?

Nice, i think it could be a bit sharper, but I can imagine how hard that would be. I am no bird photographer, but I also think that having the light source behind you might give a catchlight. Finally maybe putting the bird a bit further right in the frame would be nicer. But those things said, it is a good photo!

a classic squirrel pose! the catchlights in the eyes are good, but I think the focus is a bit off. It might be the scan. DId you do an Unsharp Mask (USM)?
cheers, Marc

Ya, I agree, nice lighting here. I was wondering what it would look like a bit brighter? maybe brighten and increase the contrast a bit?

Hi, nice shot. I think good tones and exposure. Somehow the focus seems a bit off. Did you have a wider angle view of this scene? that might be nice too.
Cheers, Marc

Very nice, love the colour contrast between the feathers and the grass. Only nit is that I feel the white feather should be in focus too, so more DOF. In that case, you might ahve to change your angle slightly to remove background stuff.
Neat idea,
Marc

Great photo, great colours...might be able to use a tad more sharpness, or that might be my tired eyes.

I like the picture and the model is nice too. I think the image would also have been good if the whole elbow were included.

Nice nice DOF and technically great! The dark left eye is distracting, as well as the clip in her hair...if only it had not been so shiny. To me it competes with her eyes. I would like to make portraits like these one day though. Nice.

Great Shot! Only wish it were a bit bigger...i guess it being part of a photo makes that difficult. Now we just need a little poem to go with it! ;-)

Hart House! nice shot...only thing that bugs me are the messy papers on the left...a bit hard to avoid though if you want to get the long perspective thing going.

I like this...but the detail in the background somewhat distracts me. maybe if a larger aperture and a much faster shutter speed were used it might have changed that? it would be interesting to try it again. Great colours tho!

Great grab shot...might be a bit too close, it's somewhat difficult to get a sense of scale. Overall, to me, it seems really nice!

Nice photo, but as mentioned the hands being cropped is a shame...I would like to see what she is leaning on.

Hi there, Nice image. Overall I find it a bit underexposed. Having the white areas to the left slightly hotter might not have hurt the image too much, but a bit more detail in the shadows would have helped. Hmm, I guess I just find the shadow a bit too big.

I've read about the zone system...what zone would you say you put the leftmost rock in? like around 2?
thanks, that was a helpful reply! :-)

Hey, you finally got a smile! :-) There seems to be still a greenish cast to this, esp. in the hair. This one seems nice and sharp. Nice catchlights too. And yes, a bit dark in my (terribly un-expert) opinion.

Nice composition, cute model too. Like a lot of my shots it seems like it could be a bit sharper, but that might be the scan (in my case, it's poor execution :-P). A few little white specks on the top are slightly distracting, but these are easily removed using the band-aid or clone tools in Photoshop.
Cheers,
Marc

Nice pose, lighting. The white on the left doesn't bother me. The somewhat obvious burning on the right does...maybe not so sudden the burning?
Cheers, good picture.

I like this a lot. Also, I find you could have many different images from different parts of this one, just by trying different crops. I had quite a bit of fun just trying different crops with it, seeing what happens. By the way, where is this?
