focus doesn't matter. this photo is good because of the emotion, the moment.. technicalities come second by a long way.

I am glad you noticed the 'small spot on the left side horizon'.. it is actually a man walking towards the water. but you are right - I was unsure about whether to keep it or clone it out - maybe I should have cloned it.
As for the balance, I think I like it for the very fact that there is a tension in the viewer's eyes - which way should I look ? .. oh hell, let me look at BOTH. (so, what i am trying to say, is that the frame tries to draw the eyes of the viewer from one corner to the other..that's what I wouldn't change)

I am back to India for good ! (So now you have a new place to visit !!)
Abt this photo: If you see carefully, on the left side wall (yellow part) just above the man's head, it is written 'Stick No Bills'.. this is a pretty common wall writing in India, as people just use any space whatsovere for writing ads etc.. I now understand that the arabic part was a translation of the same, since this was shot on the boundary wall of a school :)

wow.. I never noticed the tightness at the top.. I agree with you, but also want to add that maybe everything else is strong enough for the viewer to overlook that glitch :)
I am having a great time here since I came back. Thinking when you will land here and we'll get to do some photography together !

I was.. for the past 5 years. Moved back to India this December for family reasons.
Pity you can't make it to India now.. but maybe someday you will be, and we will meet..
