Hi Wayne

...since we have been on about waterfalls....and no, not tit for tat :-)
Vojtech makes a valid point, I do think the crop helps.
I think you have captured the scale of this wonderful place..well ...wonderfully.Pity you had no tripod - looks like a great place, so another trip would clearly not be an unpleasant journey for take 2.
I'm not sure why you converted to B/W, but I would have preferred to have seen this in full glorious colour...must be spectacular!
A wonderfull shot nonetheless...

Thanks again Wayne.
No offense has been taken,I prefer an honest crit no matter how harsh - thats what this site should be about.
Your thoughts are interesting, and certainly something to consider next time round.... Not that I 'm about to charge out shooting waterfalls....

What a great image!Composition is perfect IMO. Colours and tones all wonderfull.Stared at this for so long now, that I cant help noticing 2 things.
The pier reflection...not sure it adds to the pic, would be tempted to remove it.Somebody else will tell you that the horizon is skew, so lets get that right outta the way!Personally, i think the whole world is a little bent anyway....

Sandra - i love the composition, and as Dave says, the daisy;s add to the forground interest. They also have me wondering what this was/is like in colour?

Not sure what programme u r using (I use Photoshop CS2) should be similar for other photoshop...
Open image...
Image (drop down menu) and image size.make sure "constrain proportions" box is checked to keep correct proportions.Change largest size (depending on landscape / portrait orientation)to 850 pixels...largest accepted by US.
I then "save as" JPEG (important to "save as" to keep your original) and adjust the quality slider until the image size is 400K or a little smaller...again US requirement.

Im sure there are many other ways, this works for me tho'
If you do not use Photoshop, try reading / asking in the Photo forums..

Hope this helps.

Interesting series Nicole...no-one else commented?
I like the tones. Wonder what this would look like a couple of steps to the right, and panned left, amking the tower reflection a little more prominant.
Also enjoyed your Rhapsody in Fur series.
Why not make your images a little bigger so we could enjoy them a little better...
