hi ya,like the way you framed the shot to give it an abstract look...the backlighting gives good shadows and creates the atmosphere...if were mine,i would tweak the contrast level to get darker blacks...dramatic color combo...

Here is one of my parasol shots from June of last year that i thought you might like (please don't feel like you have to leave a comment on every shot i share with you...;>

When photos are as lovely as this one, I am sure it is ok
wonderfully composed, only seemingly simple, as the right angle is not always easy to catch, and you obviously did great, gayle!
Needless to say, I love red!
have a great day)

I used a "Multivision" filter to get the effect, Laphael. It's part of a s/w package called "PhotoImpact Pro." So, I converted a normal photo to sepia, adjusted the tones, and applied the filter. Simple as that!

Thanks!

Oh! That's good to know, then. Are the entries for projects "graded" only within the month that they are new? I didn't realize that they were that old - 2001! Gosh, I was a young pup back then! hee hee.

Thanks again.

Made me laugh, Gayle! No, there are not too many of us around, although there used to be THREE Gayle/Gales in my last workplace. Very unusual.

I hope you don't mind sharing your name. I could change mine if you've got the copyright. ))

Thanks very much for stopping by, for your critique, and for your welcome and offer of assistance. I won't forget!

regarding the project info: most of the info for each project was written back in 2001 and needs to be updated regarding submitting 3,or any similar info...ignore all but the descriptions

That wet glass genre has a way of putting the viewer 'into the moment'. It's certainly of our time, the automobile generation. Fitting to be at a traffic stop!

Hi, again! You're my new best friend! lol Thanks very much for the nice comments. I'm a little embarrassed, because I didn't read the rules for the Poetry Project before I posted this, and now I see that I need two more postings! Yikes! I'll have to see what I can do.

Take care,
Gayle
