wow...i really really like this one, the movement is fantastic. The tones and contrast are perfect except for the chair...it completely detracts from the overall feel...a bit too strong of a white.

Since I know nothing about the processes, I can't speak to them.
However, I can say that I feel the entrapment is one that paralyzes the subject - there is a sense of defiance given by the way she wards the viewer off with her hand.

I love this one!!! The composition, the movement of the lady, the croping of the kid, the focus point you've chosen! The only thing I can put my finger on is that the lightest tones is a little hot, but I dont mind Very good!

WOW i absolutly love this photo. I'm really starting to admire photoart like this. I'm trying to achieve it myself, still need a lot of practice though.
I really appreciate your comments on my "Jacy" picture, i really appreciate it when people not only comment but truly critique it. Thank you.

ok, I am gonna try this again. I really like this a lot! Love the face in the foreground. The movement is wonderful! The composition is very very good. Did you bump up the contrast? There are areas that are pure white. Can you perhaps burn them in a little? Oh yeah, one more thing: "!!!!!!!!!!" .. hahaha

I know it wasn't your choice of lighting, but it would have been nice to eliminate the shadow across his face. I really like the "invisible" bass player look and the jazzy feel.
p.s. thanks for "venting" in the forum ("why can't they take criticism?") I left my response, but I think it just boils down to maturity and/or hubris. If I submit something on here - critique it! (you'll have plenty of ammunition...)

Hey I've come across some of your forum writings and had to check out your reviews. I have not seen hardly anyone that writes with such passion and conviction. You certainly take your time and look at the work. Thats great. Too bad more people don't do this. And yeah Art & Fear is a excellent book.

Aurore,
First - I know you don't like flowers so - this is interesting to me.
That said, rather than give a technical commentary I am going to give you an emotional commentary (after reading your comments on one of Shelly Konig's untitled pieces, I think you will understand why I have to).
The title immediately gives this sexual tones (imo) the composition lends itself well to this intepretation. A tall vase with a long stemmed flower protruding into the darkness. The splash of color at the top (in my intperpretation "the end") of the photo is a climatic moment. At first I was going to complain about the bottom of the vase being lost but I decided against it because, I think the vase protruding off the page has significance.
Visually, it might not be the most attractive photo but it says a lot.
