This is a nice simple composition. He has an interesting look on his face.

Love the silohuette with the blurred out background. And the framing really makes this stand out.

Hi Pratim,
Nice shot and lovely job DOFing the background - it's turned out a beautiful soft-coloured blur. Though this is really nice close in like this, part of me just guesses there's a graceful curved neck under this head, and wants to see a slightly wider view, with the crest in the shot as well, so I'd be interested to see any slightly wider ones you took as well!

It is a nice shot. But keep in mind that at longer focal lengths (such as 300 mm) the shutter speed should be faster to freeze movement - 1/300th of a second is a good average. This is even more so with short distances.

Under backlighting like this, you need to take precautions for having both detail in the roots and in the background (sky etc). The roots are underexposed now, but if you would expose for the roots, the sky would be overexposed. You could use a big reflector for this, or (more likely) a flash. It seems a very interesting subject !

Hi Pratim,
Nice shot - how kind of them all to lie down in a line like that, or did you pick them up and move them?
