My thoughts are these- I like how the colorful tree is framed by the sparse white foreground and the image has a softness to it because of some mist or fog lingering in the background perhaps? Very well seen and executed!

A very well done portrait here Randall. Good clarity and expression. This one is definately in the "wall hanger" category. Nice work.

Not sure why this one has not had a lot of hits. A very good picture of a young man wearing a uniform that we all wanted to be as we got older. I love the composition and the B&W image. Very nice shot

Randall.. another great portrait. They fit so well together. These would look good in a layout/presentation & framed similar to the one I did of the abstracts. Great shots, really captures their personalities.

The composition is nice as it is, but also has a potential. It's not easy to say without experimenting, so I would encourage you to saturate the sky, not much. Just try. Maybe only after that you can decide what is better. Sunset colors are really good.

Great shot Randall!... I just finished one similar to this one!! Except these are practically on a fault line, so I thought it was interesting that they were so crooked now.

Very tender, nice focus and dof. I like it. One suggestion... you might have already done that, however, Show with some bigger object, for eg. fathers hand, just for comparision, to make the tender a real tender.
Elangs.

Nice composition, tone and color. The only possible thing that could help this would be taking it down a half step in exposure to get rid of the few hot spots (where you lose detail) on his face.

This is a lot better than the other one with the same girl. She is laughing, and she looks really cute. The other seemed more peaceful and calm and intimate, but had the flowers in the way. The colours here are great and vibrant. Nice one!

Congratulations on your new rig, Randall. If I were going dslr, that's exactly the setup (camera and lens) that I'd like to have. If this first effort is any example, you're going to have great pictures out of your new 10D.
