Hi Elizabeth!
Very nice one! The composition works perfect and matches the duotone! Russian band/gang?

Greetings, Oliver

Hi Elisabeth!

Lighting is ok (just you could have worked out the glasses a bit) but I am not so sure about the framing. I guess I would have taken this one horizontally and therefore lost the dark piano area which does not match the foreground.
Greetings, Oliver

Super cool! I love the blur. The expression on the face of that guy in the audience is priceless! Like I said, super cool :-)

HAHA Andy remembers Ian Mckaye, I also was a minor threat fan. Nice shot Maggie!

Interesting... maybe it would have been nice if she looked in the camera, so her expression could interact with the mood created by the blue colour and the unusual clothing. (?)

Hi Elizabeth!

Well ok, the DOF does not match the sujet because everything should be crisp and clear in this kind of pic. The light altogether does not really create any maximum or minimum dragging my attention to what you wanted to show me and as a 3rd point I?d like to say that the composition and the angle of the shot are a bit crude for me.
Too much headroom without focus, too much of the winde angle effect.
Sorry but I think you can do that much better!
Greetings, Oliver

Ok, I thought that the B&W version was good till I saw this one. This definately screams "Underground Band - with a cult following". Nice job yet again Beth.

Hi Elisabeth!

Great choice of film material and duo-tonality, unusual perspective! I guess the bride was happy with her marriage pics altogether!

This a very nice idea. My only comment is that when you mix B&W and sepia it makes the B&W look "off". I would prefer either, but not both. Also, the image of the bride and groom dancing is not so flattering to the bride; I would select another image.

Is this something you do at the wedding or do later and give to them to send out? A nice idea would be to do this digitally and make prints (on site) and give away as gifts. But that may be more trouble than its worth.

Another issue of Martha is on the way.
I'm thinking more DOF as well. I'd like to see the shrimp more in focus. Hmm .. maybe that's just my stomach speaking.

Is there a reason why such a narrow DOF was used?

Good job!

Nice use of a shallow deapth of field. Would be nice if the lighting were a little more dramatic or if you could get some lighting in the front to light up the darker spots.

Oh beth!
Woman you are rockin' with your food project. The bold colors in this really make this sing. The dof is perfect. The one thing that bugs is that I would like to see more shadow detail to my left instead of the black hole.
This far superior to the ones I have seen hanging in Taco Bell.. Hmmm.. not really sure if that is a compliment, but you know what I mean :p

Energy and crescendo are the words that come to mind. I can almost hear him. I also reflect on that carefree time of college and post-college where freedom was where it was at. But, I like about all your candids...

Excellent work catching a crescendo moment at a show. There's a lot of energy caught here which is enhanced by the motion blur in the background. The kid reminds of a guy named Ian McKaye who was the leader of brilliant hardcore band called Minor Threat in the 1980s. Man, this makes me a lot less old! Thanks.
