Beautiful portrait. The background clutter almost frames her. I like it!

Jason I photograph the cactus garden at Stanford U. so I see these interesting plants every week. I find them facinating. Glad to see you doing the same. this image has good lighting, color and focus but misses the mark because it has too much in it. My eye can't find the main subject. Get in a little closer eliminate. Highlight one part. sometimes I bring a large piece of black cardboard to blacken the backround so it stands out. Try it. You will have a winner.

Another Florida IR shooter. Your camera is a great choice for IR. Has the 2100 been discontinued or replace with another model? Anyway this shot shows your ability and the capability of your camera; well done! Palms really do reflect a lot of IR. Maybe it's their way to keep cool.

Jason I really like the viewpoint you have chosen, the subject and the perspective on this shot. To be truthful, it inspired me to take a simalar shot myself. Thanks for the inspiration!

this is good, the background is great, i think u should turn the boy into all black , like a silhouete, that could be a bit more effective.

I generally agree with the above comment. My proposed fix, however, would be to crop off some of the flagpole on the left side or maybe the bottom.
I think that the extreme perspective should be kept; this is what makes this an interesting high impact photo of a flag.

Nice composition. You captured an action at the right moment. But I wish there was some more detail in the boy's face. Or possibly increase the contrast to make him a total silhouette. As it is, it's sort of in between and I'm not comfortable with it.

Very nice composition, but maybe you could lower down the shutter speed a little ? Still spectacular work ... Congrats !

Jason - I almost really like this. The exposure is just about perfeft. But to my eye, the distortion of the flagpole is just a little too extreme. Maybe if the flag was a bit bigger, the picture wouldn't seem so off to me, but as it is, the perspective is a bit unsettling.

Roland, what you're really seeing are the impacts of bullets from the back side of the sign.

Todd, quite to the contrary, this was shot near where I live here in Florida. I guess stop sign shooting is a pastime that can be enjoyed in all parts of the country!

Jason, was this one shot (pun intended) in Alaska? It seems like every stop sign I saw up there had been shot. Nice image.

Yeah, IR requires a slower shutter speed, so I caught a little motion blur there.
