Hello joanna, Nice shot of nature's own lightshow. It's always beautiful when those lightbeams burst through the clouds. Well captured here in this shot.
It's a shame that we can't select Scotland as location here at usefilm :( I just love Scotland :)

Hello Jen,
sorry... i am not so positive as the others :( I is a nice scene you got here, but you could have make more out of it. Everything is very central in this picture. If you are going for les is more in a land/seascape picture, use the rules of thirds. Even famous dutch painters use it for ages.
Also a critique on you photoproces, 2 big sensorspots in you picture.
Kind regards, chris.
Groet chris.

Dutch: Hallo Jen, erg mooi plaatje. De horizon laag en het landschap als silouet gebruiken, daarnaast heerlijke pasteltinten. Ik ga ff door je portofolio heen bladeren.
Groet chris.

Hallo James,
because of your nice colours and light in your pictures ... i am browse through your portofolio. Saw this thumbnail an i think, yes... the picture i am looking for. use of the rules of thirds, trees that stand from the background ... opening up... you chopped the top of the tree off :( and bad digital processing. lot's of duskspot's in your picture.
Don't get my criticism wrong, there is a lot of good in you pictures, there a just little details that make those pictures not perfect.
Kind regards Chris.

Hello James,
there are a lot of things good in this picture. Scharpnes, light and the water .. starting as see through ending as refection. But the big question is, what do you want us to see ?? There are to many objects fighting for attention.
Greetings chris.

Very moody picture. I love the sky and the light that is falling in this picture. Maybe the composition could be a little bit better, the horizon and the small eiland are very central.

Very moody landscape , nice movement in the water. Only the left stone that is on the frame of the picture... i think i would have left it out of the picture.

I am still looking for a good workshop here in the netherlands were i can learn the skill's of PS. Not that i want to become a great Photoshopper, but if you know the program, you can make those little adjustment that are the finnisching toutch to a photo.

Hello Ann, first... great sharp shot on a moving subject. i know that it's sometimes very difficult. What i like about this picture is the sharpness, colors and the raging waves in the back. The parts that could be a little beter ( not al parts you can control, you must have luck with it) The surfer is very central, and like to see more of his face. It's now very much in the shade. If i understand it correctly, it is a crop??? If there is in the bigger picture a nice line in the wave that leads to the surfer, i would let it start in the left under corner.
My comment is not ment very hard on your picture.... i like it, but like always (also on my own pictures) there still some room for improvement :)
Greetings Chris.

Hello Giuliano. good reflection and colors in this picture. sorry to see that the walkway is not compleet, the line would lead it to the trees. And try before uploading a picture to remove dustspot's, you got one in the right upper corner.
I hope my comment can help you.

WOW Great !!!!
Very nice compo because the church looks even more huge. And also that (sorry can't find the englisch word for it) left and right are the same. But most of all is the good use of colortone and fine tunning of the picture in photoshop.
I was looking for a colortone to use for a haunted mansion i have captured, now i found it....THX!!!!!

@ Peter, Thx for your honest comment. Still i have some question. What part of the frame you don't like? only the grey part in the black frame or the black and grey together? Getting the right frame with a picture is very hard. Normaly i use only white or black frames because they are neutral.
I hope you replay, so i can learn more.

Hello Paul, now i see you have more landscape pictures :)
This one is not only a very great picture, but also a nice story. It sounds a little bit as my story on Dunnottar Castle. We also got up very early and waited in the cold. We were glad that we got a little bit of color in the sky. The morning of your picture you got lots of colors :)
Thoughts and Suggestions..... First, always enjoy the moment :) Second, something you already did. never leave without a tripod and a remote shutter. And last of all, something i learned at a workshop. most lense work between f8 and f11 at there best.
I think that you know most of it already ;)
Greetings Chris.
