I think this is cool. Perhaps (if you have use of photoshop) you could have burned in the edges more to draw attention towards your arms/hands which were the focal point of the shot.. and perhaps straightened it a little, to make it more balanced. Maybe just make it more moody.
I am hoping to get a tattoo soon as well :)
