a snake glooming in the night, got an almost artificial look

This would probably be better without the water color effect as it makes the background very distracting. Otherwise a nice crop and good expression.

Sorry, but this isn't very interesting nor very appealing visually imo. Poor lighting on a colorless and too busy subject shot on color film. I'd prefer a more composed shot where lines are not all over the frame but organized, and with better light, on B&W film - picture taken day time... Best regards.
