Maybe there is too much light on the arms of the mother (?). They more or less occupies the whole image..

Great capture.
I think that if you could see the girls face it would be stronger. I also notice that the lines in the ground leads your eyes to the upper left, where there is nothing to see. Maybe this would be less of a problem if the dof was shorter so that the far end of the street was less sharp.

I like that the street is very clean. It does not look like a street that should be that clean. And still there is one piece of trash in the lower right that contrasts well against the otherwise clean street.

This is great. The natural light and the short dof of the lens works great in this shot, aswell as the expression of the child and the mother? in the background.
The lamp or shelf on the wall are for some reasone not that distracting as it could be (probably because of the short dof..)

I do think that the hand that steadies the babie maybe takes the shot down a notch though..

Hi Andras
You have an 'unusual' crop on this portrait that I think works well. However, I think you need to have a focus somewhere. I suppose you are trying to have the hand/ring in focus, but I think it is not..

Man what a shot!
This really gives me water on my mill as an old swedish saing goes. I am planing on buying a good tele lens in the near future, and my motivation for that (both to myself and for friends) is that I intend to go out and shoot (with my camera not a gun) birds, in the summertime.
The bad thing is that the birds in swedish woods really are more or less boring, with dull colors that blend in to the trees, Nothing like this fellow.

Dont sweat it! I will still keep using my old trusty Minolta x700. Mostly for Black and white work. There is a special feeling when you capture something on real film, develop it youself etc.

Wow. This I like!
Great ally? that winds its way out into the light. the stone bricks glowing in the warm ligth and the woman walking comtributes to the great mood.

This kind of place are never created today. Now it is more straight lines & concrete. Even if modern arcitecture can be compelling somtimes I think that towns that are a few centuries old are more beautiful and 'alive'. Maybe people living then had a different view when the streets were lined with animals and trash?

OK.. end of rambling..

Beautiful image that entails alot. Tough terrain to grow in, simple equipment, the oxe does the work that a tractor probably could not, and they probably can not afford one either. But the clothes are wounderful. It looks to me that there are alot of work woth them. Many people would carry them maybe only on special occations but she is out in the field.
I love it!

I see what you mean about the technique. You really do get a 'painting' feeling due to the 'unnatural' lighting.
Did you desaturate the right side of the building or is it naturally old gray wood?

Chiao Claudio
I like the color version better. The colors are warm which I like.
The red sign in the left upper corner is somehow distracting though, I think that the photo would gain if you toned that (and the pink shirt) down.

Great portrait. I like the bright colors on the boy and the more subdued colors in the background, it really makes the boy stand out.

I see that you convert alot of photos from color to Black and white. Is it a consious choise to shoot with color film and not B&W? and in that case, what do you gain from doing it that way?

I like this very much. The wide lens does a great job of capturing the details at the bottom of the ocean.
The colours are great. I could easily see this on a poster trying to get people to come to thailand.
The one thing that I am a little unsure of is the dark island to the left. It is to prominent and steals attention away from the longtail boat.

I might be wrong, but I think that the fact that you have used multiple exposures is to obvious. The yellow tiles are as bright as the brightest part of the sky. This, I think, makes the photo looks unnatural.
I also think that the big tree to the left is to prominent, somehow my eyes wander over to that tree, instead of going to the house.

Darn it, I will not just say 'beautiful' as I was about to do.

I love it, I am especially drawn to the right eye, or both eyes actually, there is something magnetic in them that captures my attention.

I think the lighting is hmm, what do you say, very special, making a shadow-line straight down her face and long neck.

The soft tones are perfect.

And finally her mouth is enticing.. and I agree with Steve (both about the kiss part and the part of wanting to see more!)

Sorry for rambling.. /Mattias

Hi Nádia

I like the alt.perspective angle, the grainy fealing and the crop, but I would have placed the focus at the level of her eyes instead of the scalp. Or possibly even above her head so that everything would be out of focus.. My2c, Mattias

dynamic indeed.

I like how you have managed to capture several of the most important concepts involved in climbing/bouldering. The strength in the arms, the concentration, the movement, the grip in the fingers, the footwork, (and a nicely tanned, muscular, upper body :-) )

great work

I was chased by one once, they can be quite scary as I mentionen earlier..

The problem is that we (humans) have killed the natural enemy of the elk, (wolves etc.) and the elk population must somehow be kept under control.

Plus the fact that the meat is exquisite

Oh, by the way.. I have been very undecesive about the whole film/digital story.. But after trying out my friends cannon 300D I have taken a big step towards a digital system camera.. So, when ever I got the money I will probably invest them in one.. I will however keep shooting b&w with my current 'trotjänare' as we say in sweden, old pal you might say, the minolta x700 that i inherited from my grandfather. I really like that camera, and especially the lens I got a year ago, the 135mm 2.8 that I think is quite sharp.. But shooting with a manual focus is hard, especially when you try to take spontaneous photos of people, people does have a tendency to move around which complicates matters..

(ok there probably are some spelling problems but I dont think you mind.. it's late and I am tired)

Ill just put in my 2c worth..

I think that the tilting of the ocean in the background makes the whole photo unbalenced..

also the hair is a tad to dark.. a little fill flash might help...
