I think that's a great picture & also should be Best in Project. I think it's a perfect example of equal and opposite.

Mon Ami, this is a beautiful picture of Queen Anne in winter. I've attempted this myself. [Great minds think alike I say]. And if you ever get to Chicago again, maybe we can get together for a lunch or something. Good to hear from you again,

Another photographer introduced me to Wright Morris' photographs as I was about to throw in the towel as far as photographing the building & farm scenes of the midwest. It gave me new energy.
This picture is a change from what I've seen others try to do & that is copy or reproduce the original. Good angle Don, & I see the place is still there. Nice shot.

It's just a real tough situation[at least for me]to photograph. A photographer friend of mine has all the gadgets & for sunsets he uses a horizontal neutral density filter. If you're the type of person that doesn't mind setting up, they work pretty good. A little expevsive though. Those are some pretty neat landscapes you have & for you it would be worth it to look into some filters. I just hope I can get down there some day instead of looking at the pictures in National Geographic.

Harry, I've seen your wildlife pictures on this site as well as others & I never get tired of them. Photographing animals in their natural setting, [especially something that can kill you in an instant] has got to be greatly rewarding. Wonderful body of work you have.

I saw most of your portfolio & you have shown how beautiful a place New Zealand is, but not with this picture. There is that blotch of yellow that is supposed to be the sun & no detail at all in the shadows. The clouds are even a little out of focus. This just doesn't measure up to the rest of your work.

Still some artifacts around the cheek. Not a smooth transition. Also the space between the thumb & forefinger shows the old backround. Face a little soft.

It's pretty difficult to shoot directly at the sun & have any detail in the picture, although silhouettes show up nicely. The sun of course is way blown out & I think if you had cropped out that sun & just left the geese, the image would be much stronger. As it is, the eye goes right to that blown out yellow blotch on the right.

I don't see where it's well done or well organized as francesco suggests. It's backlit & so there is very little detail in the trees on the opposite bank. No defined subject, but I can see why you made the picture. To your eyes it was a great scene, but it didn't transfer to the medium.

The yellow petal in the center is way blown out & it looks as though the wing tips on the buttrerfly may be a little soft, maybe the wings are still moveing. I do like the symetry of it.
