Unfortunately in Australia, the anti fur lobby has pretty much put a stop to fur trading in Australia. Our foxes and other feral animals are pretty much out of control. I like the piece you have done, though I would like to see perhaps one of the trader in action. The B&W suggests to me that these animals have not only been stripped of their skins, but their individualness, and though I love animals and nature, I think this is fairly solid for a reportage shot.

V. nice light and colours, and the haybale anchors the composition very satisfactorily. I think though that you need to find new and personal ways of expressing your reaction to the landscape - this is a nice picture, but, to be honest, it's exactly like a thousand others. (Sorry, I can't suggest what might be a new and personal way - that's the nature of finding a personal style... .

Such an interesting cloud formation. We had one here like that in May. The hay bale adds a lot of depth to this picture. I would suggest cropping the left to just about the bale. This could take the trap away left of the bale. The eye kind of gets stuck there. Great exposure and detail. Don.

A polarizer helps very little when facing the sun. It works best at 90 degree angles to it.

Thanks for the classic memories, Jason. I just browsed through your portfolio, some fine images there. This one is a traditional view, made somewhat better with the low level inclusion of the foreground. I agree, black and white fits the temperature, it gets really cold down on the water.

The grayscale image does show off the mountain's grandeur in an Ansel Adams kind of way. Nice work, Jason. Was this shot with a digital or film camera?

Wow, this is incredible. I love a picture which really 'speaks'. This one talks to me of 'desolation', 'despair' but with the sudden introduction of 'hope and light'. This is great, perfect timing and just generally superb. I like very much, well done.
