Thats my favorite. Love the light and his hand reaching to the front. That gives this portrait a special dynamic.

that tamron 24-135. i haven't paid attention to what lens you use until today. i wasn't referencing the lens to the photo. it was just a general comment.

What lens are you talking about? I used the usual lens with my camera, nothing unusual, here.

this is the coolest image. I have that same lens. It's very nice.
I hope your dad was a kind man and you have good memories of him. I won't be that lucky. This is a nice way to commemorate his passing.

I love the lurid color dissonance. It reminds me of the music of Stravinsky. That, plus the sci-fi aspect (robot dinosaurs staring at an approaching apocalypse) reminds me of the covers of my favorite sci-fi magazine, Galaxy Scence Fiction in the 1950s.

one more thing. i must say that the blue is apropos with the spell casting theme here. I gave it more thought and it makes sense.

i love the composition, expression and pose. very nice! I am still on the fence about the blue that you use in many of your images. it may be more interesting on a caucasion. have you tried different color gels on the black men?
