Wow. What a great capture. I love swans. They remind me of my grandparents home on the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland. Such regal looking creatures.

Hey David,
image still looks nice even with this high ISO rating.
A tad more light in the eye perhaps?
We have a similar sort of net in the garden but I never have the patience to be still and wait for such an image :)

Saad, I was shooting through a slot in a window and could not move any more to my right, I agree though that getting the head in shot would have greatly enhanced the shot.

I also shoot AV when they are flying or if I have to pan right to left or L2R. I set the focus on center so I can maintain focus . Same as the meter spot or semi-spot..........Rich

David raise your speed to 1/1000 sec to stop the wings. I shoot at f/4-f/5.6. Raising the ISO will also give you a faster shot. Your picture is great!!!
