Wonderful angle and the choice of sepia is excellent. I'm a fan of Fritz Lang's film and yes, it echoes its mood.

Interesting, a bit disquieting, perhaps.

Great idea, fantastic realization. The tonality really makes for a truly thought-provoking shot. I'd change the name, though...

I like the lighting, the shadows, and the original approach.

Very attractive symmetry. The backlighting is, of course, the gravity center of the image.

Re the slow shutter speed: it was impòsed by the lighting conditions inside the practice hall and the fact that the lens I have is not too fast (3.5/4.5). I tried this shot several times during the exercise, both with flash (at ISO 100) and without flash (at !SO 3200), and definitely the second was the best choice, even better with the grain.

The composition in this shot is everything, what I'd call a "multiple portrait" in which every detail seemingly gives us a clue about your subject. Sepia tone is perfect for the shot, unfortunately it's too dark, something especially noticeable in the clothing of your subject.

The cropping could be altered to put the two figures in an attention spot and give them more weight in the frame. Try to crop so as the leftmost person lies in an intersection of thirds and see if it's not a stronger image.

Little to say here. It's a great shot, and it shows good eye for finding it. Makes one think about the little lives behind every window.

Perhaps a faster shutter speed would have helped to avoid the water being blurry. Hope you're enjoying the 10D as much as I am.

Probably the feeling of solitude would be enhanced if the angle were wider, showing more empty sea around the buoy.

The whole photo is tilted to the left, it needs a little rotation. The tonality works fine in giving a subdued mood, almost nostalgic. A polarizing filter will help you avoid the reflections on the upper windowpanes.

The lighting is simply perfect, it serves to focus on the subject's eyes, which are of course the center of emotional gravity of this photo.

Reminiscences of classic Dutch painters...

This is an image of peace and serenity wich captures the unique warmth of clay. The natural lighting is well used and the slight greenery in the background compensates for the fact that the pots are empty.
