Overall I like this shot, my only thing is, it seems like the light on her face is a little hard, I assume direct camera flash? Also the roof on the house in the background, is slanting down to the left, makes the image feel out of whack, the angle of the woman goes off to the right, but the house angle goes of to the left, it sort of makes your eyes want to pull in different directions to the edges of the photo at first, they eventually make thier way to the woman, and folow the lines created by her, but it takes a moment, I think if you could have got the house roof line level, the eyes would have imediattely drwan to her. Other than that, I think the photo came out pretty good, nice work.

The photo looks a little grainy (as you said), also is a little desaturated looking, and slightly washed out looking (all of which I'm going to assume came from the scanner, if it caused the grain as well, nice scanner? or inexpensive?) Otherwise fairly nice, possibly a wider angle lens, if possible, there is a rock just along the right side of the frame that I find a little distracting, the way the photo sits now, I wouldn't say crop it out, but maybe with a different lens choice it could have fit interly into the frame, or the shot shifted left to get it out of frame. Not a big issue, I just find it mildly distracting.

One other thing you might want to consider for future waterfalls (this is a total preference, and what kind of look you want thing) but that is to make it a longer exposure, sometimes even say 1/30 second or so will do it, but it causes the water to all blur together, again depends on your preference and what you want from the photo.

All in all a great shot, must be some nice falls, I already want to go see them in person thanks to your photo, keep it up.

Nice shot Carl, the only thing I think I don't like is the persons hands in the background, but probably wasn't anything you could do about that. I love photos of things found in everyday life, often overlooked, great capture.

Great shot, only it looks to me as if there was maybe a little too much sharpening in photoshop, if photoshop was used at all, but, that said, I think it works good, sometimes you can do things like overlly sharpen and they make a photo more dramatic, which I think happened here, if that was what happened, if not, it was just super sharp, either way, very nice, I like it.

Awesome shot, more evidence that great images are around every bend, and everwhere you go in life.

I like, I don't know how many times I've taken pictures of my dog, just for the sake of fooling around with a camera, and they always look like cheap, stupid, low quality family photos that no one wants to see. Nice work making a common and simple supject look not like a family photo, but one suitable for framing, neat color and toning as well.

Nice shot, I've allways liked "Extereme Close-up's", theres something about an eye enveloping an entire frame... only things I see too make suggestions on, is I think it would have been better to center the eye in the frame (or crop it) and if the subject could have been looking straight ahead, so the eye is centered in the eye opening (hard to do), just my 2cents, very nice photo, even with that.

Nice shot. Nice pose, and background/prop choices, I like it very much, wish I had a prom pic like it, a little dark on the face, but I assume it's naturally lit, in which case it's right on.

Very nice, very cool you were able to get such a close macro, I've seen the use of screens to diffuse an image before (makes an interesting look) but never a shot which such a close up macro of the screen itself. I think the original shot probably would have been nice as well (judging by what you said you added) but I think the PSP effects add to it nicely, and make it a very wonderful shot.
