I just checked and the ear is missing in the original image. It is not Photoshop?s fault.
I tried to leave a little lighter, with softer shadows. Is it any better?

This is really cute kid and nice portrait, except cropping is too tight bit more space under chine and also ear is missing, also tonal range is bit too hard just softer tone and picture will be perfect, still nice B&W picture .. ir

Great shot! I absolutely love it! This is a great portrait! The lighting and contrast looks excellent and those eyes of her are GORGEOUS! I love it... it is so clear... excellent work here! You have a beautiful daughter!

Excellent portait! Cute kid, and one of the most splendid expressions I have seen captured on film! Everything about this picture is great - the light, expression, the feeling of joy on the kid's face, composition.... It is truely a piece to treasure!
