Interesting from the title and the thumbnail I thought the bricks were books on shelves. The light is great and I really like your persepctive. The two lights that are out make add to this composition. Nicely seen!

This is a great portrait. Lewis Hine comes to mind even more so if it were in B&W. I like the way you have used the light the vignette is nice and the flash not to overpowering.
