How many _____ does it take .... (Oops! I hadn't read Mary's remark.) Excellent abstract!

yep, bright idea - very clever - how many photographers does it take to screw in a light bulb?

let me know when you have the answer because I have no clue...

I wish we weren't cropped on the left but that is me and my comp happy eye - other alternative would be to crop really tight - but I am not sure how well it would work...

Next assignment:

illustrate the following -

There's a fossil that's trapped in a high cliff wall
There's a dead salmon frozen in a water fall
There's a blue whale beached by a springtime's ebb
There's a butterfly trapped in a spider's web

There's a king on his throne with his eyes torn out
There's a blind man looking for a shadow of doubt
There's a rich man sleeping on a golden bed
There's a skeleton choking on a crust of bread

There's a red fox torn by a huntman's pack
There's a black winged gull with a broken back

Sorry, I couldn't resist - I like the execution and idea behind this image - I wish there wasn't a square object behind the head but otherwise - this was treated well and handled well...

Richard's comment is precise - how did he do that?

And the plant would be a wandering jew...this would be a scan I guess - I like the flatness and the strangeness it creates...

I like that the lures are purple they would pick up the purple in the plant quite well - however, the plant's color seems a little flat...

David, i like it... but i would have cropped off the top and bottom so the horizonal lines did not show. and maybe colored in the space at the v. Wonderful idea and subject. great to see.

Good development of an abstract image from a real-life situation.

I notice some lack of focus and some pincushion distortion at the right hand edge of the shot. This could be eliminated by using wider angle and stopping down a bit.

I like it simple. This is simple. I like it. Yet, ther is more than first meets the eye. The, er, thing in the upper left wakes my curiosity.

Nice capture. Wonderful diagonals!

Recently, I was reading magazines at Barnes & Noble and came across
an article in the June/July issue of Camera Arts (pp20-25) by Ruth Adams on the use of a scanner as a camera. Much of the article is technical stuff, but I thought that you might be interested.
